Sprouts Making : The Healthy Indian Recipe





Green moong sprouts are very healthy, refreshing & protein rich food. It is one of the most widely used Indian food. It is very easy to cook & can be fit under budget. This refreshing, high protein food can be consumed at any time of day, especially as a breakfast for morning & in evening snacks. Sprouts are also easy to digest & can control our hunger for longer period of time. Cooking sprouts at home required lot of patience & its time very from 1-2 days. In region like Mumbai where humidity is high sprouts required less time to prepare. Sprouts can be served in variety of dishes like salads, Gol gappa, vegetables & many more options are there depending upon your creativity of cooking. It is also available in market which is already prepared, But many people prefer home made sprouts, reason being they are not sure of the water quality & condition under which it was prepared.


How to make Home made sprout:
Following is the list of steps one could follow to enjoy tasty cooked sprouts
1) Clean the dry moong carefully by checking for stones & broken beans & remove them
2) Placed the moong beans in a container & keep it in water for overnight, especially for 8-12 hrs
3) Rinse again the soaked moong & placed them in a container or placed them in a wet cotton cloth.
4) Now place that container or moong carried cloth in a dry place & let them place undisturbed for few more hours & keep checking in between continuously to ensure the condition.
5) If sprouts are of good size then use it immediately if not leave the for another 3-5 hours
6) After that you see sprouts are being popped out of cloth which means the sprouts are ready to consume.

Note:
If you want to use it later then keep it in freeze & when required served the dish as whatever you like.
